VaisalaMeasure high RH in Fuel Cells with ease.
Water management is necessary in proton exchange membrane (PEM) type fuel cells to assure reliable and efficient operation of the cell. Humidity or dewpoint is measured in a gas stream containing a high percentage of hydrogen at temperatures close to 100°C and at positive pressure.

Measuring the water vapor content of hydrogen in these difficult conditions is now possible using Vaisala’s unique, patented “warmed sensor head technique.” The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity & Temperature Transmitter HMT337 measures accurately in high relative humidity - even in condensing and very high relative humidity environments. The HM337 has been successfully deployed in dozens of fuel cell applications.
