Ford American Edge SUV: This Hybrid has the Edge
Now Ford has come up with the first fuel-cell plug-in hybrid based on the American Edge SUV. Its electric "HySeries Drive" is powered by a 336-volt lithium-ion battery, enough for 25 miles of driving before the 40kW "Halo" fuel cell starts up and begins recharging it.

Computational Flow Analysis of Bipolar Plate for Fuel Cells
A trilayer fuel cell includes separate flow channels for hydrogen and oxygen. One potential alternative flow channel design is the use of a bipolar plate that connects cathode of a trilayer fuel cell to anode of the next trilayer fuel cell in order to provide an efficient flow of current through the cells with reduced voltage loss.

VaisalaMeasure high RH in Fuel Cells with ease.
Water management is necessary in proton exchange membrane (PEM) type fuel cells to assure reliable and efficient operation of the cell. Humidity or dewpoint is measured in a gas stream containing a high percentage of hydrogen at temperatures close to 100°C and at positive pressure.

Measuring the water vapor content of hydrogen in these difficult conditions is now possible using Vaisala’s unique, patented “warmed sensor head technique.” The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity & Temperature Transmitter HMT337 measures accurately in high relative humidity - even in condensing and very high relative humidity environments. The HM337 has been successfully deployed in dozens of fuel cell applications.
