Hyundai Set for Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Car
South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Co. said Tuesday it plans a commercial version of its hydrogen fuel-cell car by 2012.

FuelCell Energy Opens Project in Canada
FuelCell Energy and Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. opened a $10 million plant in Toronto on Thursday powered by a DFC-ERG power plant that will produce 2.2 megawatts of electricity, or enough to meet the needs of about 1,700 homes. The plant contains the first multi-megawatt fuel cell to operate in Canada.

UTC’s Fuel Cell Bus Gets Mixed Reviews
A preliminary federal report on Connecticut Transit’s $2.4 million prototype fuel cell hybrid bus found the bus’ first 15 months of operation were marked by limited availability because of maintenance issues. However, the transportation agency and UTC Power said they are pleased with the progress of improving the region’s first fuel cell bus.

Morphic Technologies AB Delivers Fuel Cell for London Infrastructure Project
Swedish technology company Morphic Technologies AB said on Friday that its subsidiary, Exergy Fuel Cells, has received an order for a fuel cell system for an infrastructure project in London. The initial order covers a hydrogen fuelled system for powering mobile vehicle emissions monitoring equipment outside London City Hall.

Satcon Claims First Hybrid Fuel Cell
Satcon Technology Corp., a provider of utility scale distributed power solutions for the renewable energy market, has partnered with FuelCell Energy Inc. (Danbury, Conn.) and Enbridge Inc. (Toronto, Canada) in the production of a new, multi-megawatt hybrid fuel-cell energy system for natural gas pipeline operations in Ontario, Canada.
